If you’re looking for a great 2-in-1 elliptical at a great price, the Body Champ may be what you’re looking for. It’s compact, affordable and has a lot of great features.

This is a dual cardio machine which can be used as an elliptical trainer or a stationary bike. You can also rotate each use during your workout and use it as an interval trainer. Another great feature is the arm poles. It comes with fixed handle bars so you can simply hold on or use the ski pole type arms and get a good upper body workout.

Product Features:

  • 2-in-1 – elliptical and stationary bike
  • Forward and backward movement
  • Adjustable seat
  • Dual action handle bars
  • Computer display
  • Track heart rate, calories burned, speed, distance and time
  • Workout DVD

Getting two pieces of fitness equipment that takes up very little space is always a good deal. This machine does even better by being at a great price as well.

It features magnetic resistance and doesn’t require any electricity to operate. Since it’s a manual machine, that means you supply the power! This is great if your workout area doesn’t have an outlet near by. The onboard computer will require batteries.

The seat adjusts two ways so you can find your comfort zone while working out.

The length of stride may not be what you expect, but a short stride can help prevent over stretching muscles, ligaments and tendons during a workout.

Some people prefer to remove the seat and use it strictly as an elliptical, while others enjoy being able to sit down and use as a bike. This is a great feature for people who have knee problems or are just starting out and don’t have the endurance of someone who’s been working out for awhile.

Several customers had concerns about the length of stride or not feeling like the unit was very stable. If you have a small body frame this machine may be more comfortable for you than someone who is tall.

Other customers mentioned that assembly took longer than they expected, while others had no problems with putting it together.

Here’s what a few customers had to say:

  • “Machine is very smooth and on track to compare with a higher end machine.”
  • “No electricity means the works all yours. I have learned to love and appreciate that.”
  • “The bike action is pretty smooth if you push the seat forward. The tension changes are easy to do. It’s pretty good, but not as robust as it could be.”
  • “The Cardio Dual Trainer works very good for all age level that lives in this house from teen to mature to senior.”

All in all this is a great starter machine for beginners who are on a tight budget and don’t have a lot of space to spare for exercise equipment. Remember, this is not a high priced machine so you can’t expect to have the same features you would in a machine that costs $1K+. If you’re just starting out, this machine is a good buy until you get in better shape and can afford a higher priced elliptical trainer.
